Just-In Case Fire Ltd ("JICF") designs, manufactures, markets and distributes innovative, foam induced, portable fire suppression equipment under the brand FIRECADDYTM.
There is a gap in time between detecting fire and when professionals can respond. That time may not be fast enough. That time can cause devastation.
Just as important, a gap also exists in the capability of available equipment that has been designed for ease-of-use and superior, safe, fire-fighting capability.
Our mission at Just-In Case Fire Ltd. is to create an awareness of the 'fire response gap' and to equip people to be a first-responder; to safely and effectively fight fire from a distance to mitigate their own risk of loss.
JICF refers to this as "the 'gap' between the fire extinguisher and the fire truck". The Company believes that their approach to fire-fighting will change the way in which fire response is viewed and structured across all levels of government & industry.
Just-In Case Fire Ltd. was incorporated in 2002; development began on the FireCaddyTM line of products several years earlier. The products have been field tested, refined and sold to customers in many different industries, geographies and types of deployment. The most recent addition to the product line was made commercially available in 2007, creating the most breadth of application coverage of any of the manufacturers who provide on-site, mobile, firefighting equipment.
A number of key organizations have acknowledged the effectiveness of the FireCaddy products including industry, fire departments, federal and provincial/state government agencies and NFPA, for its capability at responding to emergency fire situations. The product line is in the process of securing UL certification, with the endorsement and support of these important industry and government bodies.
All FireCaddy equipment mix water from any available source with FlameOut®, a fire suppressant foam that extinguishes fire over 80% more efficiently than water alone. The mixture is discharged from a safe distance of up to 70 feet from the fire hazard with pressures and flows that can be managed by people who have not been trained as fire-fighters. As a result, fires are suppressed rapidly and water damage is significantly reduced.
The FireCaddy product line includes engine models for heavy use, electric motor models for more confined or indoor use, sprinkler systems for exterior structural protection and attachments for garden hoses for outdoor home and recreational applications. All products have been designed for ease-of-use and mobility to allow immediate response and for superior, safe fire-fighting capability with extended run times to allow individuals to be effective first-responders to threatening fires.
JICF has sold its equipment into 12 different countries and into 14 different industry segments. More than 750 units have been delivered to well over 200 customers. In the past, sales were driven by many one-time customers. During 2007, the market model was redefined to focus on the development of alternate distribution channels and now the predominant amount of sales is currently achieved through a number of key distributors and directly from large, key accounts.
